The church of Holy Comforter in Richmond, Virginia decided to retry the sentencing phase of the blasphemy case against Jesus during Lent. Mark Olser is the person who decided to do the trial. Olser is against capital punishment and decided to do to the trial to call attention to it. Jeanne Bishop, played a defense attorney in the trial.“He also wanted to have a young African-American man play Jesus, and that’s what we have tonight. Most of clients look exactly like this young man who will be sitting beside me,” she said (cnn.com). I found the article to be interesting. I see the "point of view", Olser was trying to make.
